Quietly building something foundational.

QuantumCore is an early-stage deep-tech team working on the coherence layer for compute and energy. We’re modest about our claims and serious about the work behind them.

Our mission

Help the systems the world already depends on do more with the power they already have.

Demand for compute and energy is rising faster than our ability to supply it cleanly. A meaningful share of that gap isn’t a supply problem. It’s a coordination problem. Physics-first compute, on the hardware people already own, is a quieter path than building the next big model. We think it matters more.

Why it matters

The infrastructure the world runs on deserves better foresight.

Power systems, energy storage, and the compute behind modern AI are scaling faster than the tools that keep them efficient and reliable. We work on the layer in between, quietly and with evidence.

How we operate.

Team

Who’s building it.

Founded by operators from industrial engineering and energy systems, with functional depth in physics and machine learning, hardware, and energy — and advisors in finance and IP.

Dustin Thornton
Founder, CEO & Principal Investigator

Industrial metrology and heavy-systems engineering background. Originator of WaveCore and the energy-systems stack; an evidence-bound, fail-safe approach to systems engineering.

Jack O’Brien
Co-Founder & President

MS in Energy with a data-science concentration; PMP-certified, IEEE member. Leads research direction, product, operations, business development, and external partnerships.

Careers

Come build the layer.

We hire deliberately and value range. If the problem resonates and you do rigorous work, we want to hear from you, even if you don’t fit a tidy title.

Open-ended applications

We’re not posting a long list of roles — on purpose.

At this stage we’re more interested in exceptional people than in filling slots. Tell us what you’re great at, what you’d want to own, and why coherence is the problem you’d choose. We read every note.
